2600 VCS Cartridge Adapter is compatible with "as is" with Atari
5200 2 Port Models. 4 Port models require installation of 4 port
retrofit kit (see RT101184 in parts section). With the 2600
adapter, you can play all 2600 games cartridges on your Atari
5200 using Atari 2600 compatible joysticks and controllers. This
item is NEW and in original box. NOTE: Before ordering, check
your system. Later models of the 4 port 5200 mother boards have
this retrofit built in. Check the inside left hand bottom
corner, top side of the mother board for CX5200P CAO REV. If you
have this model you do not need the retrofit to use the 2600
adapter.
